The only real drawback to the Achla Spinning Horizontal Composter is that it doesn’t drain well if water gets into it. Compost needs some water to keep it working properly, but too much can drown it, and create mosquito problems. If you keep this composter outside, it’s a good idea to have it under a covered porch, or overhang if possible. If you can’t protect it from the rain, you may wish to drill a few extra drainage holes in the sides so that water flows through quicker.
