Assembling Your Geobin

The Geobin is a simple concept and requires no tools to put together. It comes in a rolled sheet of plastic that you unroll and stand in the spot you want, bringing the sides together at the size you prefer. Then just use the accompanying stakes that push easily into the ground to keep your Geobin in position and start composting.

Roll it Out and Roll it Up

The greatest feature of the Geobin is that it is flexible plastic so you can simply roll it out when you want to use it, and set it up in any area of your yard. The design of the Geobin also makes it adjustable so you only have to make it as big as you need.

You can set it up at full size, and have a big 3-foot circumference that stands 43 inches tall or you can overlap the sides to reduce the total circumference and take up less room when you only need a little. The adjustability also means you can start small when you are just beginning your compost pile, and adjust the sides as your needs grow.

When you’re done, all you have to do is remove the stakes to release the sides and roll it up into a tight log-sized roll that is much easier to store than a solid plastic composter.

The stake and roll assembly of the Geobin also makes it easier to turn the interior compost than with a hard plastic bin. If you need to, just remove the stakes to the bin to collapse the composter, set it up a few feet away, and use a pitchfork or shovel to scoop up the compost and throw it in the new setting. That puts the compost that was on top on the bottom so your material is turned completely.

Keeping it Clean

Solid composters can be a pain to clean when you’re done with them, and want to put them up for storage. The Geobin makes cleanup easy. All you do is unroll, lay it flat on the ground and hose off. No more climbing into the barrels of tumblers, or leaning over the sides of a stationary hard bin.
